Dear adorable mystery co-worker who left me mustache bandages on my desk,
Thank you for feeding my love of mustaches. You made my day. In fact, I am now looking forward to my next paper cut.
xoxo,
Angelica

PS I will get to the bottom of this mystery and tag you back. Just you wait.

Max Wanger is the coolest. Buy some of his work!

By Angelica · November 20, 2009 · 1 Comment · 34 Views

I fell for photographer Max Wanger's work earlier this year when I saw the painfully sweet and romantic engagement photos he took for Joanna Goddard and her now husband and I've been a little bit in love with his photography ever since. The lighting, the balloons, the Santa Monica pier vibe, the not-mushy-but-so-sweet scenes, I love it all and thankfully his work has blown up. (No really, I've already set my heart on him as my wedding photographer, I just have to find the right fella to say yes to. That's not the slightest bit creepy, right?). Anyway, a few days ago I found out he opened an online shop that sells his prints and prints on tees and promptly ordered one. It arrived today and couldn't be any cuter. Even the packaging it shipped in is divine. Check it out (my BlackBerry photo does not do it justice). Order one. Hire him. Ammmazing.

Will This Vervain Candle Protect Me From Vampires?

By Angelica · November 8, 2009 · 3 Comments · 121 Views

If so, I don't think I want it. The Vampire Diaries geek in me got really excited to see "vervain" on the lovely label, though.

Note: If you are looking for holiday gifts, the whole line smells delicious.

Halloween "Keep Me Out of the Kitchen" Crafts

By Angelica · November 4, 2009 · 0 Comments · 48 Views

While my two BFFs spent hours creating a beautiful totally homemade Halloween bash spread of stuffed mushrooms, fondue, baked artichoke dip, baked brie, Halloweenies (mini turkey and sausage in puff pasty), I was quarantined in the living room with craft projects. Thankfully, they are well aware of my inability to cook — and love me anyway — so I gladly channeled the time and encouragement into a pom pom vines project, which we used as decoration for the costume photo booth area. The tissue flowers I was inspired by looked simple, but boy can they steal three hours fast. If I were ever to do these on large scale, I would require a whole gaggle of crafters. The flowers got plenty of ohhhhhsss and awwwwwss all night, even though they weren't perfect. The floating apple candles were created by a more skilled apple cutter in the house, but inspired by Martha Stewart. They were actually a compromise with the man of the house, who didn't think putting them in the tub was a sanitary idea, but a huge hit with guests and reminded everyone of bobbing for apples as kids.

Airport Beer Series - SFO to SEA

By Angelica · October 31, 2009 · 0 Comments · 12 Views
Made good friends with goofy bartender who said FAA requires you eat mints after garlic fries. Just the kinda bad airport humor I love. My partner in crime was not entertained.

Sparklers = Love

By Angelica · August 13, 2009 · 1 Comment · 71 Views
It's been forever since I've updated this lovely blog, what with Heyboy, TeAmo and life being so busy and all. While I failed to do any Airport Wine Series updates on my recent trips, I did manage a magical photo of one of my college roomies, Angela, and her husband running through sparklers to their getaway car. Ignore the hairy hand and it's a perfect picture.
There is nothing I love more than sparklers at weddings and parties. If I could devote a whole blog to them, I would. Oh, I guess I just did. Cheers all around!
